Shakhtar women's team lose to Kryvbas in the league matchday 3
Opposition’s quick goal
Kryvbas took the initiative from the first minutes and the guests’ pressure was converted into a goal by Basanska after a long shot in the 6th minute. Shakhtar responded by performing a free kick with an attempt by Molodiuk to send the ball over Keliushyk, but the Kryvyi Rih goalkeeper reacted to the shot. Then, Holovach made a good run on the right wing, but the promising attack ended with a shot by Zaborovets, which was blocked by the defenders. At the end of the first half, the guests had their moment, when Yanchuk didn’t manage to finish the cross, finding herself in front of an empty goal.
Bad start to the half
In the second half, Zaiev's team conceded a quick goal again: Semkiv found Yanchuk in the penalty area with a pass, and the forward beat Mostova in a duel. After that, the guests had two more effective attacks: Sonkeng scored with a header after a set piece in the 55th minute, and two minutes later, Olkhova converted a penalty. During the remaining time, Shakhtar couldn’t attack effectively and create threats to Kelyushyk’s goal. And the guests scored their fifth goal at the end of the match (a good shot by Belyakova). The second defeat of the women's team of Shakhtar in the Vyshcha Liha.
In matchday 4, Roman Zaiev’s side will play against EMS-Podilia from Vinnytsia on September 30.
