Shakhtar Social foundation became the winner of the second stage of the ECA Relief Programme

Shakhtar Social won grants in the second stage of the ECA (ECA Relief Programme) with support of the UEFA Foundation for Children for implementation of 2 projects aimed at facilitation of grassroots football development, as well as safety of children and internally displaced families in Ukraine. Details and list of activities will be announced soon.

Dariusz Mioduski, ECA Relief Committee Vice President and Chairman:

– All of us at the ECA are helping the clubs to continue the wonderful work of supporting Ukrainian children and families displaced by this tragic war. So, I am very pleased that our ECA Relief Committee was able to approve 11 more projects (totally 26 projects) to receive funding. The more projects and clubs the ECA supports through this programme, the more children and families will get our aid in these difficult times.

The ECA Relief Programme is a programme created to support the clubs in implementation of projects aimed at provision of aid to refugees and displaced children and families during the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Ukraine caused by the war. In the second round of the programme, projects of the following clubs were approved: Shakhtar (Ukraine), Veres (Ukraine), Legia (Poland), Wisla (Poland), Sporting (Portugal), Nomme Kalju (Estonia), Slovan (Slovakia), Trencin (Slovakia), Zimbru (Moldova), Seinäjoki (Finland).

We remind that Shakhtar Social received a grant for implementation of the Unite for Peace project within the first round of applications from the ECA. It provides for free football training for hundreds of children in different cities of Ukraine.
