Shakhtar goalkeeper Anatolii Trubin shared his emotions after receiving the UPL gold medals
– Anatolii, congratulations on the title! What is it like to be the champion of Ukraine? What do you feel right now?
– First of all, I feel proud of our entire team. Because the title is not won in one or two matches, it is hard work throughout the year and even more, because even when the last championship was suspended, everyone continued to work for this year and a half. Although no one believed in us: they said that we would take 5–6th place, that we would not be able to achieve more. But now we are the champions of Ukraine! Everyone is happy. I think that the most important thing for all of us is motivation – nothing is impossible. If you work, believe and stay as one, as a team throughout the season, everything is possible.
– What is your most memorable moment of this season? And which period, on the contrary, was the most difficult?
– Probably, the highlight was when there was a final whistle in the last match against Dnipro-1. But all periods were difficult, we were constantly moving somewhere… Perhaps, the worst moment was when we lost to Dnipro team in the first round. But sometimes the worst moment can give you much more than victory. So now everything is great!
