The Miners are preparing for the start of the group stage of the UEFA Champions League
On Sunday, September 17, Shakhtar delegation made a 9-hour journey from Ukraine to Germany. At noon, the team left Lviv by bus for Rzeszow, Poland, from where they flew to Hamburg.
The delegation included the players and coaching staff of the first team, the players and coaches of Shakhtar U19, the club's management with CEO Serhii Palkin.
Head coach of the Orange-and-Blacks Patrick van Leeuwen took 28 players for the match against Porto.

On Monday, the Miners will have traditional media activities – an open training session and a pre-match press conference.
As a reminder, the match of the 1st round of the Champions League group stage Shakhtar vs Porto will take place on September 19 in Hamburg at Volksparkstadion. The game will kick off at 22:00 Kyiv time.
Shakhtar U19 will play their UEFA Youth League match against Porto U19 on Tuesday, at 14:00, at Edmund-Plambeck-Stadion in Norderstedt.
