Karpaty advanced to the Premier League for the first time after creation of the new club. Match background

Shakhtar and newly created Karpaty never met in the official matches, but they played a friendly game in Lviv on March 15, 2024. The meeting ended in a draw (2-2) – the Miners responded to the goals by the host team players Yan Kostenko and Arielson with Traore’s brace.
