Humanitarian Centre

In August 2014, by the decision of the FC Shakhtar president Rinat Akhmetov, they set up the Aid+Help Humanitarian Centre. Operation of this organization is aimed at providing assistance to the people affected by the armed conflict in the Donbas.

The Humanitarian Centre has combined resources of the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation, all businesses of SCM Group and FC Shakhtar. Donbass Arena, which has turned into a logistics hub for unloading and packaging food for the civilians in the region, plays a key role in forming the aid kits.

During two years of the centre operation in the Donbas, they have distributed over 8 million adult and children's food sets. The assistance was provided to the vulnerable social groups and the displaced people in towns and villages of the Donbas, where they had opened stationary distribution points or which at least once were visited by a mobile team of volunteers.
