Oleksandra Kornieieva is raising two sons – Rodion and Mykhailo. The boy’s father, a serviceman of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, died in March 2022, his body was left on the battlefield. The family’s house in Mariupol was destroyed.

Shakhtar Social provided the family with financial assistance, paid for dental services, purchased household appliances and clothes. After learning that the eldest son is interested in cooking and attends cooking classes, they arranged for Rodion to meet with Shakhtar chef Ljubomir Tosic. Ljubomir gave the boy his signature jacket and together they prepared dinner for the team.
