Bio & Career
A Shakhtar graduate, he spent his entire career in his home club. He played his debut match for the Miners in the USSR championship. He played for the first team from 1991 to 2008. The goalkeeper has 347 matches in all tournaments (158 of them are shutout games), 4 champion's titles (2002, 2005, 2006, 2008) and 6 Ukrainian Cups (1995, 1997, 2001, 2002, 2004, 2008). He is in the top 10 players in the history of Shakhtar by the number of matches.
After finishing his career, he became an assistant goalkeeping coach in Mircea Lucescu's staff. In 2016–2021, he worked with Shakhtar U21 goalkeepers (2017/18 U21 League champion).
In June 2021, he joined the staff of the newly formed women's team as a goalkeeping coach. From the 2022/23 season, he is the first assistant manager of Shakhtar women’s team.
