On June 26, the Miners will play their first friendly as part of the summer camp in Germany. We bring you the announcement of the game vs Brondby.
 
Cup winners
 
Brondby represent the city with the same name in Denmark, they are the domestic champions. For two consecutive seasons, the Yellow-and-Blues have been the silver medalists, so they will try their hand in the Europa League qualifying stage. In May, Brondby won the domestic Cup for the first time in 10 years after securing a 3-1 final win against Silkeborg. The club’s most recent domestic league triumph dates back to 2005.
 
Coach and leaders
 
Brondby is headed by the German specialist Alexander Zorniger, who previously worked at RB Leipzig and VfB Stuttgart. The team's top scorer of last season is a Polish striker Kamil Wilczek (21 goals in 39 games in all competitions). In fact, the 23-year-old Hany Mukhtar has played continuously - the attacking midfielder aggregately made 45 apps, scoring 10 goals and providing 17 assists.

Both previous friendlies between Shakhtar and Brondby took place on January 18 in 2007 and in 2014.

Shakhtar’s two wins

For the first time, the opponents met on January 18, 2007 in a competition in Maspalomas. The match saw a goal galore of 5-4 in favour of Shakhtar (with Mariusz Lewandowski, Brandao, Razvan Rat, Jadson and Andrii Vorobei scoring goals). And in 2014, the Miners beat Brondby in Abu Dhabi, when everything was decided by Yaroslav Rakits’kyy’s only goal in the 86th minute.
