Karyna and Amina’s family lived in Mariupol. The girls’ father was seriously wounded when he left to get water and their mother came under shelling and died near the hospital where he was staying. The little sisters were taken from Mariupol by their godparents, they currently live with their father.

Shakhtar Social provided financial assistance to the family, purchased computer equipment for studying, clothing and footwear.
