Shakhtar Social implements social projects for schoolchildren.

Lessons on proper nutrition were held in 6 schools of Mariupol under the patronage of the Win for Health project. More than 200 children received ecological lunch boxes with healthy products (toast made of whole-wheat bread, lactose-free cheese, yogurt, juice, apple and baked goods with berries). Students were also told about the correctness and importance of healthy eating, using the methodology of European partners.

In 2022, FC Shakhtar implemented social projects for schoolchildren in Kyiv.

• Shakhtar Smart is a project about the benefits of proper nutrition and sports for children aged 7 to 8
• Shakhtar STEM is a project to develop coding skills for children aged 9 to 12

Shakhtar Smart includes a series of three classes and one more lesson with the participation of parents:

• Football-related English
• PE with FC Shakhtar player
• Healthy eating
• Family day

Shakhtar STEM

Is an acronym for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. The project will enable children to learn the coding basics.

In the classroom, they use special Sphero Bolt robots and tablets with the Sphero Education program installed. Children learn three types of coding: drawing, block coding, and text-based coding that is similar to JavaScript.

Training grassroots football coaches

Shakhtar Social provides training for children's grassroots football coaches. The coaches involved in the Come On, Let’s Play! project receive C licenses and complete first aid training.

Shakhtar Social organizes training with the involvement of international partners: Football Club Social Alliance (FCSA), UEFA Foundation for Children, European Football for Development Network (EFDN) and LaLiga.

Training amputee football coaches

Shakhtar Social, with support from the European Amputee Football Federation, organized training for amputee football coaches.
