Shakhtar Social creates the conditions for introducing children with special needs to football.
Shakhtar Social creates the necessary conditions for children with special needs to play football. Children with disabilities (autism, Down syndrome, deafness, cerebral palsy) train at the Come On, Let’s Play! grounds in 6 cities: Kyiv, Kharkiv, Mariupol, Ivano-Frankivsk, Lviv and Poltava.
With the support of the UEFA Foundation for Children, the European Club Association (ECA) and the European Football for Development Network (EFDN), children with disabilities participate in a social campaign called #Morethanfootball Action Weeks.
In August 2019, with the assistance of The Scort Foundation, children with disabilities spent a week at a sports camp in Basel, Switzerland.
Shakhtar footballers aid children by acquiring special equipment and sporting kits.
