The game against Shakhtyor Soligorsk will not take place. Instead, the Ukrainian Premier League representatives Mariupol FC will be Shakhtar’s opponents.

The Mariupol side got back from their vacation in January and spent a preparation stage in the home city. They held training sessions on a synthetic pitch and started getting back in shape. The Azov team arrived in Turkey on January 25 and started training in Kundu which is not far from Antalya. Shakhtar will become the first sparring partners of Mariupol FC at the winter training camp, with the team planning at least five more friendlies.

Ostap Markevych's team failed to succeed in the first part of the Ukrainian Premier League season, with the team having won 2 matches, drawn 2 ties, lost 14 games. They got the bottom spot before this winter break. Their key goal is to prepare well for the second half of the season and improve their standing. 

The Shakhtar vs Mariupol match will take place on the field of the Regnum Carya Golf & Spa Resort, where the Miners hold training sessions.
