Shakhtar heads for the UPL without defeat at the start of the season. Having opened the Championship with a draw with Metalist 1925 (0-0), the Orange-and-Blacks won 4 subsequent matches against Kryvbas (1-0), Rukh (1-0), Chornomorets (2-1) and Metalist (6-1).
