The round 23 game was postponed due to the participation of the Donetsk team players in the games of Ukraine U19. Several more Shakhtar U17 players took part in the international competition of Lazio Cup.
 
In the previous U19 league meeting, the Miners suffered an away defeat at the hands of Karpaty. Currently, Shakhtar U19 are nine points adrift of the top-spot team, being ahead of the Lviv team by two points.
