In the first round of the UEFA Youth League group stage, Shakhtar U19 secured a major away victory over Sheriff U19 (5-0) and are topping the group table.

In the domestic league, Oskar Ratulutra's team also deliver excellent results: 9 wins in 9 meetings. In the last match, Veres Rivne were thrashed 6-0, with Danyil Honcharuk scoring a hat trick – he boasts 8 goals in the domestic league and one goal in the UEFA Youth League.

One of the last training sessions took place on the pitch of the Bannikov stadium where the sides are going to play on September 28.

Opponents

Inter U19 are experienced participants in the UEFA Youth League (the Milanese have played twice in the group stage, plus they made it to the knockout phase via the Champions path). Their best achievement is reaching the Last-8 in the 2019/20 season to face Real Madrid U19. In the first round of the current UYL campaign, Inter again met with the Spaniards, with the sides tying 1-1.

In the Italian youth league, Inter U19 have had four matches: two wins, one draw and one defeat (in the last round game against Bologna), as a result they have seven points and the fourth position in the table. The top scorer is Fabio Abiuso (three goals).

The Italians have been showcasing open and productive football, posing danger in terms of quick transitions from defence to attack and active pressure in any part of the field.
