Europa League semi-finals draw: Shakhtar’s prospective opponents

Having beaten Braga, Portugal in both ties, the Pitmen have reached the Europa League semi-finals
According to the competition regulations, the draw does not provide for the seeded teams at this stage, with representatives of one and the same association not being separated to feature in different pairings. Therefore, Shakhtar will meet with one of the three clubs:
Villarreal (Spain)
Liverpool (England)
Sevilla (Spain)
With two of the possible opponents - Villarreal and Liverpool - Shakhtar previously met in European competitions. The Pitmen encountered Sevilla in the 2006/07 UEFA Cup competition, at the Last 16 stage.
The UEFA Europa League semi-finals draw will take place in Nyon, Switzerland at 13:30 Kyiv time on April 15. The games of this stage will be held on 28 April and 5 May.
