Footballers of the Donetsk team reflect on the second leg against Braga
Maksym Malyshev, Shakhtar midfielder:
- We are very glad to have won today. We played well, fulfilled Mister’s game plan, did everything we had agreed upon before the match and achieved the desired result. The start of the meeting was aggressive, just as Mister requested. At times, we were playing neck and neck with the Portuguese, but overall the advantage stayed with us. Today is a special day for our captain. Our congratulations to him! It’s good that he managed to score. Darijo is a real captain and leader of the team. We wish him to play the same number of games for Shakhtar. At the moment we're just happy to have advanced to the semi-finals, to have pleased the fans of Donetsk and of the whole Ukraine. It does not matter who we get as our opponents for the semi-finals - we will play with the maximum atttitude!

- It is difficult to say whether it was a penalty case when I was suffering a sliding tackle. It was 50 to 50, at the discretion of the referee. Before that, in Braga, for example, they did not award a penalty for the fouls commited by the Portuguese. Today, the major goal of Shakhtar was reaching the semi-finals. But it’s well that the game was colourful. We have converted our chances, although there were episodes in which we could have extended the lead even more. I want to thank the fans who have supported us!

- Today, Darijo was the best on the pitch! He passed it, he scored... One could say it was his benefit performance! If we compare the two legs against Braga, the first one was more stressful, because we played away - although we studied the opponents, we were still probing them. While here we already knew how they operate. We sealed off all spaces and played well.
