The Donetsk team players reflect on the game vs Oleksandriya
Viktor Kovalenko, Shakhtar midfielder:
- We could feel that the opponents well prepared for the meeting. Both teams fought from the first to the last minute, despite the bad weather. The game was tough in a football way, uncompromising, but I cannot say that it was rough. Of course, we came there to win, and now we will build it upon the current result. Oleksandriya excellently prove themselves at home, fighting to the end, no wonder they made it past Dynamo. But in the next game we will be a host side. I think we have better chances at home.

Overall, we looked good, having had several opportunities in the beginning of the match; we had chances to score two or three goals, but unfortunately, we lacked something at finishing. Then lady luck shone upon Oleksandriya players. Frankly, it’s very and very hard to chase a positive result at 1-0 on the wet field. Again, in general, we proved ourselves pretty well and achieved a draw. We are facing a deciding match to take place on our field. I'm sure it will be no less challenging. We must be ready for it.
