Dmytro Chygrynskyy: Sevilla’s defence is anything but sinless

The former Shakhtar defender, who is well familiar with the Spanish league, has expressed his opinion about the Donetsk’s Europa League last four opponents.

- One of the most serious arguments in favour of Sevilla is their audience. The Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan stadium has an incredible atmosphere, and the hosts will enjoy some great support ... At home, with the excellent support from the stands, Sevilla operate in a particularly aggressive way, creating incredible pressure and trying to push the opponents against the goal. Meanwhile, when playing away, the Red-Whites play in a more accurate and reasonable way...

... Nevertheless, I believe that Shakhtar’s chances to make it past Sevilla are very good. The Pitmen play solidly, with Mister building the game quite expertly: the same thing has happened against Schalke, Anderlecht and Braga. Just two conceded goals in the Europa League games point to the defensive order. When the defence is reliable, it is easier to find the opponents’ weakness. I think, in this regard, Sevilla are not sinless, plus their defence is not the strongest link.
