On December 12, the Pitmen will know their opponents for the next round of the Europa League
FC Shakhtar offers its fans to take part in the survey and guess who become the Donetsk team’s opponents in the European club competition round of 32. You can leave your prediction here.
Of all the possible opponents, the Orange-and-Blacks have never encountered only five clubs. Those are Astra, Mönchengladbach, Villarreal, Ludogorets and Hapoel from Beer-Sheva.
Shakhtar met with the rest of the teams earlier. In the UEFA Cup, the Donetsk team played Celta Vigo (2000/01), AZ (2004/05) and PAOK (2005/06), in the Champions League they locked horns with Legia (2006/07), Olympiacos (2006/07), Manchester United (2013/14) and Athletic Club (2014/15).
And the most recent opponents have been Anderlecht. In the most recent Europa League edition, the Pitmen twice beat the Belgian club in the Round of 16, being 3-1 and 1-0.
The draw will take place on December 12, at 14:00 Ukrainian time. The matches will be held on 16 and 23 February.
You can vote before 10:00 on 12 December. Five winners will receive two tickets each to Shakhtar’s Europa League Round of 32 home game.
