Shakhtar to take part in the Atlantic Cup

From January 31 through February 7, Algarve, Portugal will be hosting the seventh Atlantic Cup edition
The competition will involve eight clubs. In group A, Shakhtar will be joined by FK Jablonec (Czech Republic) featuring Shakhtar’s former midfielder Tomas Hübschman, Aalborg BK (Denmark) and Örebro SK (Sweden). The other quartet includes Croatian league leaders HNK Rijeka, AGF Aarhus (Denmark), Djurgårdens IF (Sweden) and one more team to be determined later.
According to the competition regulations, in the group stage each participant will have two games. On January 31, the Orange-and-Blacks will open the tournament with a clash vs Jablonec, and on February 3 they will lock horns with Aalborg. The final meetings will be held on 6 and 7 February.
