Ahead of winter holidays, Andriy Pyatov has sent his season greetings to kids at the Poltava Oblast Organisation for Visually Impaired People
On December 19, the children received New Year holiday sets from the Shakhtar goalkeeper.
– It is not the first time when Andriy allocates money for gifts for the sight-impaired kids registered with our organization, – says Olexiy Prokopenko, the chair. We decided to make the greetings coincide with St. Nicholas’ Day. From the moment we got in touch with the families and spread the news, the kids have been in pleasurable anticipation. Of course, they are happy! Taking into account the complicated epidemiological situation in the city, not all parents have managed to bring their children today. However, we will make sure that every child receives a gift before the end of the month.
44 kids registered with the organization will receive the New Year presents from Andriy Pyatov. One set includes sweets, souvenirs, and footballs.
– In the past, Pyatov used to play for Poltava-based Vorskla, continues Olexiy Prokopenko. – I am very delighted that he does not forget our city and its people, who have always supported him. I would like to express our gratitude to Andriy for his understanding heart and good deeds. He is not only a great footballer, but also a wonderful person. This season, the Pitmen demonstrate great performance in the Ukrainian league and in European competitions. From the bottom of our hearts, we wish Shakhtar good luck and more great victories!
