In the last month of autumn, the Pitmen played 5 games and scored 15 goals
Facundo Ferreyra has become the team’s top scorer again. In each of the three meetings, the Argentinian scored a goal. Particularly impressive was his winner against Karpaty. The orange-and-black forward headed home a Darijo Srna pass. The captain himself also netted one in that meeting, and the captain himself – in order to pass the 50-goals-for-Shakhtar mark, he needs to make just one more step.
Viktor Kovalenko and Fred also reached significant milestones. Both of them have netted 10 goals each for the Pitmen. The Ukrainian went on, grabbing his fist brace in the match vs Dnipro. Fred’s goal against Gent may well claim the goal of the month title. After being assisted by a teammate, the Brazilian sent the ball into the top corner from outside the box. By the way, this goal is Shakhtar’s 300th in European competitions within their Ukrainian history. In the same match, Taison concluded a spectacular move with another goal.
