The Pitmen’s fans who voted for Shakhtar’s best players on a monthly basis, have summed up the latter’s overall performance in the passing year
Major competition was between two midfielders – Viktor Kovalenko and Marlos. Both of them were voted Player of the Month three times, delivering consistent and effective performance.
Finally, the Brazilian won the nomination. 1,587 Shakhtar fans voted for Marlos. Kovalenko got 837 votes.
The third spot went to Shakhtar goalkeeper Andriy Pyatov. He has exactly 300 points. He is followed by Taison (261), Bernard (144), Eduardo (97) and Maksym Malyshev (66).
A total of 3,507 people took part in the poll on shakhtar.com.
