Shakhtar in the Netherlands: back to work

Monday, July 11, 2016

Since early morning, the coaching staff of the Donetsk club have been taking congratulations on the occasion of Portugal national team winning the UEFA Euro 2016

On this occasion, the players jokingly offered the Pitmen’s mentor to give them an extra day off. Paulo Fonseca did not agree and organized a two-hour training session for the team. First, the players were divided into groups: some were focused on strengthening the back muscles and the abs with Miguel Cardoso, the others did some agility exercises under the guidance of Pedro Moreira. Then, the Orange-Black collectively focused on tactics.

- Yesterday, we had a great rest, decided to go downtown with the guys, - said Shakhtar goalkeeper Anton Kanibolotskyi. – We did some shopping and visited the amusement park. Just chilled out a bit because it’s been somewhat tough mentally. Well, it’s been our third week at the training camp. We’ve worked pretty fruitfully in the Netherlands. The players perfectly understand what they should do on the pitch. The game against Dynamo will be a test for all of us.

After having lunch and some rest, Shakhtar will continue the training process.
