Shakhtar in the Netherlands: training camp is over

Tuesday, July 12, 2016

On the evening of July 12, the Pitmen held their final training session in Horst

Paulo Fonseca built the session around different game options. The two-hour training session ended with strength exercises with additional weight.

- In my career, this has probably been the longest training camp, - said Shakhtar defender Serhiy Kryvtsov. - If we count it together with our stay in Odesa, you will get 25 days. The conditions for training in the Netherlands were excellent. Good fields, everything is in close proximity. We didn’t have to waste our time on travelling. We all are looking forward to our first competitive game. We worked a lot on tactics. I think we’ve understood how we should play. In the remaining four days, we need to analyse everything thoroughly, draw the right conclusions and make certain moves just automatic. The team, I believe, are in great form.
Tomorrow morning, Shakhtar will go to the airport in Dusseldorf. At 11 am Kyiv time (EET), the Donetsk team will fly toOdesa. Paulo Fonseca has scheduled a training session for tomorrow afternoon.
