Shakhtar head coach’s press conference after the game with Chornomorets

– Good evening, everybody. First of all, I would like to dedicate this victory to Anton Kanibolotskyi, who was injured, and regretfully will be undergoing a surgery now, and Bernard, who was also injured today. We don’t yet know how serious it is. But we dedicate the today's game to these two players. Talking about the game, it has been a well-deserved victory

. We could have quickly ensured the result and could score even more. In the first half, we created a lot of opportunities. On the whole, Chornomorets employed a scenario that is difficult for us, shutting down completely in defence, and at first we could not break through it. Nevertheless we could have left for the dressing room after the first half enjoying a two or three goal lead. We conceded one right after the second goal. But our team have continued to demonstrate a great game, scoring two more times. Therefore, I am satisfied.

Did you feel that Chornomorets have become quite formidable opponents these days? Until the 89th minute of the match its outcome was unclear.
– That's right, that’s the way football always is. Two teams are confronting each other. Since the outcome has not been decided until the last minute, our opponents also showed a good game. I want to apologize right away in case I did not make myself clear or you might have misunderstood me. I am not, in any way, saying that this victory was easy for us. Quite the contrary: the match was very difficult. I’m just saying that Chornomorets have been playing a defensive game. This caused us some difficulties. But considering the number of created opportunities, we could have scored even more. I completely agree that these were tough opponents.
