The Pitmen reflect on their first friendly game victory at the training camp
Andriy Boriachuk, Shakhtar forward:
- It was our first meeting. Let's have it straight, not against the strongest opponents. We just practised our set pieces. Everything we had polished in training in Kyiv and here at the training camp, we tried to fulfil on the pitch. The strikers have to get used to the new tactical schemes. It's nice that we’ve scored 9 goals. A good start. I want us to continue playing like that, with scoring many goals and claiming such big wins.
Andriy Totovytskyi, Shakhtar forward:
- Our first match, we had to play together, feel the confidence and fulfil everything our coaching staff requires. We have tried to properly defend and attack. I think it was a good friendly game. It is very important to start the training camp with a win. Being successful, it is much easier to work. As for the opponents, individually they looked good, but their defensive performance was poor. I am delighted that I’ve managed to score a brace today. The goals are dedicated to my wife and daughter.
