Shakhtar U16 through to semi-finals

The group stage of the Ukrainian Colt Football League is over for Shakhtar U16. The charges of Henadiy Zubov secured the competition semi-finals berth
In the subgroup’s first match, the Donetsk side beat UFC-Karpaty (Lviv) 3-1. Drozdov, Nazarenko and Tsekalo got their names on the scoresheet.
In the second round, Shakhtar U16 lost 1-2 to their Arsenal (Kyiv) counterparts. The only goal for the Orange-Blacks was scored by Drozdov.
In the subgroup closing game , the Pitmen drew 2-2 with Dynamo (Kyiv). Goals for Donetsk were scored by Prybluda and Apanchuk.
Thus, Shakhtar U16 finished second in group B, scoring 4 points. On June 23, the charges of Henadiy Zubov are to take on Chornomorets Odesa in the DUFL semi-finals.
- The guys tried hard, we appreciated their dedication, - commented on the team performance the head coach of Shakhtar U16 Henadiy Zubov. – Those were tough matches against strong opponents, but we managed to reach the semi-finals. I do not think that it is really important whether we claimed the top spot or the second in the group. Most importantly, we attained our goal. Now we continue the fight for the medals. We will work and continue to try to achieve the maximum results.
