Exactly seven years ago, on May 20, 2009, Shakhtar won the European trophy
In Istanbul, the Pitmen claimed a historic win over Werder Bremen in the last ever UEFA Cup competition.
This triumph has become the Donetsk club’s biggest achievement on the European stage. Scorer of the decisive injury-time goal, the Brazilian Jadson, was named Man of the Match.
