Lucescu Phenomenon on Futbol 1 channel

The Lucescu Phenomenon is a biopic about the outstanding Romanian specialist, who became a real engine of progress for the Pitmen, being able to not only raise the team, but also keep them at the top level. This film is about the coach, without whom it is difficult to imagine Shakhtar as they are these days.

In 2004, the president of Shakhtar Rinat Akhmetov invited Mircea Lucescu to take charge of the Donetsk club. Over 12 years of work, Mister won with the team 8 Ukrainian League gold medals, raised five Cups and seven Super Cups of Ukraine, and in 2009 he brought the UEFA Cup to our country. The specialist’s ability to develop the team and win impressed the football community. That is why the idea to shoot the Lucescu Phenomenon film occurred, whose producers tried to answer the question What is the secret behind the success of this coach?

Over three years, the film crew travelled across four countries, 16 cities and towns, making 11 terabytes of video lasting for 250 hours. 38 respondents gave interviews for the film, including such football stars as Andrea Pirlo, Nevio Scala, Javier Zanetti, Mircea Lucescu’s close relatives, as well as many club presidents, players and workers.
