FC Shakhtar has extended the contract with the team captain Darijo Srna. The new agreement is effective until the end of the 2016/17 season
Darijo Srna boasts a club record for the number of appearances for Shakhtar. The defender has been playing for the Orange-Blacks since July 2003, appearing in 492 games and scoring 48 goals. In the 2015/16 season, Darijo has played 41 games and scored 6 goals.
