The club president speaks about the club anniversary
- I want to congratulate all the fans on the club’s 80th anniversary! I want to say a huge thank you to them for the fact that they have always supported and support Shakhtar. And most importantly - for the fact that the Miner is in their heart. I want to say a huge thank you to our players. We are in very difficult conditions - two years playing on other people's fields. But most importantly - the players do not get discouraged and do not give up, overcome difficulties and obstacles, give their all to please the fans and win every match.
Today, I’ve said a huge thank you to Mister. For all the trophies, for the spectacular, outstanding and attacking football, for the fact that for 12 years we have been one family. I want to say that Lucescu family are my great friends. We have a huge football family! Many thanks to our every staff member, because they all have been in difficult conditions, but no one has lost heart. We are away from home, but we still move towards our goal. Our club is 80, and all this time Shakhtar has been writing a glorious history. Many generations of fans, players, coaches changed... Many thanks to them for the fact that they created the glory of Shakhtar.
I want to tell the fans just one thing: Shakhtar will be setting the most ambitious goals! We will move forward, and I am convinced that we will have a lot to be proud of. We will play bright, beautiful, attacking football. We are not going to give up.
