FC Shakhtar Donetsk signed a contract with Paulo Fonseca. That is a two-year deal
The new head coach of Shakhtar is a 43-year-old Portuguese Paulo Fonseca.
“This is a young, ambitious and highly qualified specialist, who, I am sure, will do everything to make the fans proud of their team. Paulo needs Shakhtar and Shakhtar needs Paulo,” - stressed the president of FC Shakhtar Rinat Akhmetov.
“I am very happy to become a part of this club Shakhtar. Working for this club is a huge privilege for any coach. I want to tell the fans that we will continue all the work that was carried out for many years at Shakhtar. We are very ambitious, and we will turn all our ambitions into spectacular and quality football,” – said Paulo Fonseca.
The head coach will start working on June 1, 2016.
On Wednesday, 01/06/2016, the Opera hotel will host the first press conference of the FC Shakhtar head coach Paulo Fonseca.

Born on March 5, 1973 in Nampula, Mozambique.
Coaching career:
Aves (2011-2012), Pacos Ferreira (2012-2013, 2014-2015), Porto (2013-2014), Braga (2015-2016).
Coaching achievements:
- Portuguese Super Cup Winner (2013, Porto);
- Portuguese Cup Winner (2016, Braga).
Paulo Fonseca will be the 32nd coach in the history of Shakhtar.
