Starting from November 1, FC Shakhtar’s Come On, Let’s Play! projecthas been running in Kurakhove, Donetsk Oblast with the assistance of DTEK and the town authorities

- This project is socially significant, because we try to develop football intensively in our town, - said the deputy mayor of Kurakhove Roman Romanets. - Over the past two years, we have got two artificial five-a-side pitches, we are planning to reconstruct the stadium and prepare a large field with synthetic or natural grass. Support is very important to us, and we hope to make a big step forward thanks to the Come On, Let’s Play! project.

Currently, 60 children (three groups of 20 people) play football under supervision of two volunteer coaches and a coach-administrator absolutely free of charge. Each of them received training from Shakhtar Academy mentors. FC Shakhtar provides the young athletes with everything they need for exercising: balls, bibs, cones and other things.

- After the training sessions and workshops for our coaches, the kids train based on the new up-to-date standards, working with the ball in a more efficient way, - continued Roman Romanets. - I sometimes attend training sessions and see how much interested the guys get. We are happy with our co-operation with Shakhtar and are confident in producing good results.

Important notice for the kids and their parents! Training sessions of the Come On, Let’s Play! project are held three times a week (MondayWednesday and Friday) on the futsal field of the secondary school No. 2.

Session schedule:

Group 1 - 15:00 to 16:15;
Group 2 - 17:30 to 18:30;
Group 3 - from 18:30 to 19:30.

Let us remind you that the Come on, Let’s Play! project has been very popular in Donetsk and Makiyivka for a few years now. In October 2015, the FC Shakhtar project was also launched in Lviv, as well as in Kramatorsk in the summer 2016. Children in those cities attend training sessions and become participants in competitions.
