Shakhtar defender speaks about the upcoming match vs Dnipro
- Ismaily, what do you focus on in your preparation for tomorrow's meeting?
- Before the training session today, we saw videos of some games of our opponents, analysed Dnipro’s performance on the pitch. Despite the fact that only two days ago we had an encounter with Konyaspor, I think that Shakhtar are fully ready for taking on Dnipro. This is true that it’s not easy to play at such pace, but Paulo Fonseca reshuffles the squad all the time, so the team have enough time to recover. We should finish this year well, so in the remaining matches we must win.
- In the first half of the season, Shakhtar defeated Dnipro quite easily. What can we expect on Sunday?
- I think, we are facing a very difficult match. Dnipro are a skilled team, and the fact that the opponents are sitting bottom of the table does not quite reflect the real potential of the team. I'm sure the game will be different from the one at the Arena Lviv in the summer. If we do not concentrate 100 percent, we may have some issues.
- Due to yellow cards earned, Darijo Srna, Bernard and Maksym Malyshev will not be able to help the team. The injured Facundo Ferreyra will not appear as well. How much can their absence affect the performance?
- Of course, they are very important footballers for our team. But I'm sure the guys to replace them tomorrow, will give their all, so their absence will not affect the quality of Shakhtar’s performance.
