During its operation since August 2014, the Humanitarian Centre of Rinat Akhmetov has distributed 10,003,717 adult and children’s survival kits to the Donbass residents either side of the contact line

To do that, the Centre sent 256 convoys to the Donbass (5,771 trucks), which delivered 115 thousand tonnes of food to the logistic centres in Donetsk and Luhansk. All in all, civilians in over 500 towns and villages received aid in the Donetsk and Luhansk Oblasts.

- 10 million survival kits – it’s the aid for the most vulnerable categories of population. 70% are pensioners, plus 6% of the disabled. Besides, large families, single parents, orphans and kids under three have been receiving food sets from the Centre, - says the Centre Coordinator Rimma Fil. - These people have been most affected by the war. For them and their families, the food sets are not just charitable assistance, but the means for surviving.

Monthly, the Humanitarian Centre distributes about 400 thousand food kits. This October, six convoys carrying food have been sent to the Donbass. By the end of the month, they plan to deliver another 175 thousand sets.

- Rinat Akhmetov’s assistance is vital for people, especially for the inhabitants of remote places and villages along the line of fire, - stresses Rimma Fil. - In this regard, we have been assisted by mobile teams, who have distributed over 218,000 sets to the inhabitants of 425 settlements in the Donbass.

We should add that this month, the Centre mobile teams’ volunteers will deliver aid to more than 70 settlements.
