Ukrainian Cup: Shakhtar to play Poltava

On October 27, the NSC Olympiyskyi in Kyiv played host to the Ukrainian Cup Round of 8 draw. At that stage, the Pitmen are to take on Poltava away
This competitive round comprises one game. The base date is November 30th.
Shakhtar and Poltava had three meetings in the Ukrainian Cup. All of them ended in wins for the Pitmen, with the goal difference of 11-2 on aggregate.
In the 2010/11 season, the Donetsk side beat Poltava 2-0 in the Round of 16 game, with Willian and Moreno putting their names on the scoresheet. The same stage in the 2014/season consisted of two legs. The 5-1 win in Poltava was claimed through a brace by Teixeira and goals by Gladkyy, Chygrynskyy and Dentinho, with the return leg in Kyiv ending 4-1 (owing to precision shots by Nem and Gladkyy, as well as a brace by Bernard).
