The Donetsk team footballers shared their impressions of the game
Dentinho, Shakhtar midfielder:
- Chornomorets have a strong team, but today we have played very well. Shakhtar played in the right rhythm, proving their strongest qualities and showcasing their best performance. I think that's what allowed us to win. My goal? There was a feed from Ismaily, with me managing to trap the ball correctly and score. Of course, those episodes cannot but make us happy. However, I had two more clearcut chances to excel, but, unfortunately, I couldn’t make it. Thanks to Paulo Fonseca, I appear more on the pitch: he fields me in the starting line-up and as a substitute. The better I play, the more time I get. That’s very important for me. Of course, I'm happy with my own success, but most important is the team's victory.
The game was challenging enough. The first goal did not quite make it easier, but we got more space for attacking after it. As a result, we managed to score the second goal. Thank goodness, we’ve won today
Bernard, Shakhtar midfielder:
- The game was challenging enough. The first goal did not quite make it easier, but we got more space for attacking after it. As a result, we managed to score the second goal. Thank goodness, we’ve won today. I try to step it up in each match. This year, I have a lot more opportunities to prove myself, because I get more playing time. But the most important thing for us today is the team's victory. We have earned another three points, being distant enough from Zorya and Dynamo. If we continue in the same vein, everything will be fine. Our secret behind such confident performance? The major change in our team is the arrival of new head coach. Previously, everything was different. Now we are more organised in the team, just like throughout the club basically. The lads train, play and try to show their very best side to the coach. And Paulo Fonseca gives a chance to everyone. Previously, it was not always like that. Fortunately, we are doing well at the moment, so we will continue trying to win only.
