Shakhtar midfielder was voted the Man of the Match in the league matchday’s major game against Zorya
However, Maksym Malyshev will receive his award upon returning from international duty, where he went the day after the game against Zorya.
- It’s a great honour for me to receive this award, - said Maksym. – The team have a huge merit in winning it. And I'm glad to have helped them to claim this important victory over the formidable opponents. I think the match fully justified its status of being the round’s major game. I think the fans enjoyed it. The stadium was full to capacity, with numerous fans of Shakhtar coming to support us. It’s much more enjoyable to play in that kind of atmosphere. Thanks to everyone for their support. We won deservedly, although we could finish the meeting with a bigger score: the ball twice hit the goalpost and once the crossbar. At some points, we just lacked some luck. Zorya confirmed their being a top team through their performance, proving that they are not just accidentally among the league’s top three sides.
