In the first month of autumn, the Pitmen did not suffer any defeats. Moreover, they conceded only one goal which was scored from the penalty spot
Due to the international games in early September, Shakhtar had five games. Three Ukrainian League matches and two Europa League ones. In four meetings, they won without conceding any goals, drawing 1-1 only against Dynamo.
The charges of Paulo Fonseca scored eight goals. Interestingly, three goals are headers. Dentinho netted one in the game vs Dynamo, Facundo Ferreyra scored a goal in the Europa League game vs Konyaspor and Ivan Ordets sent one home in the encounter with Volyn. An own goal was also registered in the meeting with the Lutsk side.
Another curious fact: all the goals were netted by different players. The most spectacular of them, perhaps, is the one byAndrii Boriachuk. The 20-year-old striker marked his Premier League debut with a stunning back-heel goal.
