Marlos voted player of the month in August

The winner by a large margin for the contest became Brazilian midfielder Marlos. He was voted for by 198 respondents. The Pitmen's #11 demonstrated great level of play throughout August and was deservedly noted by Shakhtar fans. The Brazilian also scored three goals.

Efficient actions of Facundo Ferreyra have not gone unnoticed either. The Argentinian can hardly be called a starting player, but in those games, when he went out on the field, the Shakhtar striker has always been aimed at the goal for which he was rewarded with goals in the matches against Dnipro and Stal. In both cases, Ferreyra scored with a header and the goal against the Kamianske team brought the Pitmen the win. He got the votes of 165 fans of the Orange-and-Blacks.

In third place is the person who Facundo should thank like no one else.

Darijo Srna made two assists to the Argentine and received 144 points from the fans. But Shakhtar captain was not noted only for his assists. In every match, he was one of the best on the field and in the away match against Istanbul Basaksehir made his 500th appearance in the jersey of his club.
