Opponents

Last season, Konyaspor claimed the third spot in the Turkish league. This result allowed them to avoid the qualifying round and make it directly to the Europa League group stage. We want to note that the home game against Shakhtar was really historical for the White-and-Greens as they made their debut in European competitions.

Konyaspor made a pretty good start in the new domestic league. The team have not suffered a single defeat, scoring 5 points. In the opening round, the charges of Aykut Kocaman drew with Rizespor (1-1), and then tied with Besiktas (2-2), also beating Antalyaspor 3-1 ahead of the encounter with the Pitmen. In the most recent meeting, Omer Ali Sahiner scored a brace, with the third goal being scored by a 33-year-old Dimitar Rangelov.
