On September 16, they had a festival at the junior sports school No. 10. On a visit to the young players came Shakhtar goalkeeper Anton Kanibolotskyi. The kids not only could communicate with the player, but also received gifts as mementos
- I am glad that FC Shakhtar so quickly responded to our request, - said the head coach of the football department of the DUSSH-10 Andrii Yarko. – It’s also symbolical that Anton visited us. He himself comes from Kyiv, and covered a tough way from a promising young player to the first team goalkeeper. Through his example, we wanted to show the children how and how much they need to work in order to become a professional footballer.
The kids asked Anton completely different questions. In particular, about how he started playing football, how developed his career and at what club he sees his future. Kanibolotskyi readily answered all the questions, admitting that now he still wants to play for Shakhtar and dreams of returning to the Donbass Arena. Also, the young players have learnt that the Orange-and-Blacks’ goalkeeper finished school with a gold medal, and that there is nothing impossible in succeeding in both the studies and in the favourite game.
- It was very interesting to talk to the real footballer, - said Oleksandr Dominskyi and Valentyn Sarkisov. - Especially with the player of Shakhtar. Although we are from Kyiv, but we root for the Donetsk team and we believe that it’s the best in Ukraine.
- Very nice to visit such an event, - admitted Anton Kanibolotskyi after talking to the guys. - If there is an opportunity to present the children with a festival, I am happy to do so. For them, we are idols in some way, as they look up to us. It's great to see the sparkle in their eyes alongside their genuine interest.
