Shakhtar fans have chosen the best footballer in the first spring month
Andriy Pyatov has been the winner for the second time in a row. 314 people voted for him. In March, the goalkeeper reached a landmark point: the match against Olimpik has been his 335th appearance for Shakhtar, which allowed him to move into the eighth place on the list of the players with the most appearances in the club history.
Gustavo Blanco Leschuk also produced a memorable performance against Olimpik. During the injury time added to the first half, the Argentine striker scored a goal for the Orange-and-Blacks. Gustavo's efforts did not go unnoticed: 220 fans named him the Player of the Month for March, with him claiming the second spot.
Maksym Malyshev concludes the top three players list with 205 votes. Football fans must have remembered his beautiful header against Zorya at the very end of the meeting. The midfielder’s confident performance in this match allowed him to win a place in the starting XI, with Maksym invariably appearing on the field in the opening minutes.
