The opponents’ previous meeting, which took place just a month ago, ended in Shakhtar's narrow win and gave start to the Orange-and-Blacks’ successful run. Following the Olympians, the boys of Valeriy Kryventsov defeated Zorya (3-0), also beating Chornomorets in the previous round (4-0). The Pitmen confidently led the game against the inhabitants of Odessa from the first to the last minute, with all the goals being scored in the second half, which also indicates the good physical form of the team.
