The Miners scored 7 goals in the competitive games of the month
The Orange-and-Blacks kicked off their new football season campaign with the Ukrainian Super Cup game. Shakhtar confidently defeated Dynamo (2-0) and won the prestigious trophy for the eighth time in their history. Both goals were netted by Facundo Ferreyra.
Also, in July, the Donetsk team had three domestic league games, scoring five times. Taison notched up his 30th goal for Shakhtar. The most important goal of the month was scored by Gustavo Blanco Leschuk. In the meeting with Stal, the Argentine found the net in the fifth minute of injury time to seal a comeback win. Ferreyra, Marlos and Alan Patrick also netted goals in the game.
