Celta defender answered the questions from journalists before the game vs Shakhtar
- How important is it for you to win after losing in the Copa del Rey and the league defeat at Atletico Madrid?
- Yes, it was tough. Defeat at the Vicente Calderon was heavy. However, we are in a great mood now. Hopefully tomorrow we will claim a good result, which will help us in the return leg in Ukraine.
- What do you make of your participation in the Europa League Round of 32?
- That’s really important. I am delighted that I take part with the team in the Europa League, and want to display my best performance.
- This winter, Shakhtar signed a contract with your compatriot Gustavo Blanco Leschuk. What do you know about him?
- I know some facts. For example, he holds the ball well. There is another footballer from my country at Shakhtar – Facundo Ferreyra. I don’t know that much about Blanco, but I want to note that we find it important to ward off the opponents and carry out counter-attacks in response.
- Gustavo, whose physical condition is better, Celta’s or that of Shakhtar who haven’t played any competitive games since December?
- Of course, it’s better to be in Celta’s shoes. Playing without a break is crucial. However, I think our opponents will be in good shape. Shakhtar carried out preparation for the season, in which they excellently proved themselves. I am sure the Pitmen will be in the best form.
