After taking a rest on Sunday, the Pitmen have got back to the pre-season training routine with renewed vigour today
In the morning, Shakhtar had an intensive training session lasting for 2 hours and 15 minutes. The session comprised a warm-up, along with a major set of tactical exercises and abs-improving sessions. Only Facundo Ferreyra and Bohdan Butko trained individually.
Nearly the whole evening was dedicated to playing practice, and was rounded off with a small-sided end-to-end game. However, almost all the players remained on the pitch to do some extra training after the session.
- It’s good that the coaching staff gave us this break: we rested, walked with the guys around the city and had a recovery session, - said Shakhtar midfielder Maksym Malyshev. – Today we’ve had a very busy day. We conducted two good sessions and did a great job. Every day, we feel increasingly better, coping with the workloads more easily, so we should approach the game against Celta being fully prepared. The friendlies we play almost every day, are particularly helpful in that regard. So we take delight in our every friendly.
Tomorrow, Shakhtar are meeting with Debreceni, Hungary in the 2017 Atlantic Cup third-spot decider. The game kicks off at 21:45 Kyiv time (EET). Watch the live broadcast on Futbol 1 TV channel, also read a text commentary on shakhtar.com.
